Major Productions

Our major productions are shows that you might see performed on Broadway or in a professional theater. The only difference is that our shows are performed by all-youth casts.
Our casts experience everything they would in a professional production - auditions, casting, line memorization, blocking, choreography, props, set building, lighting, costumes, make-up, dressing rooms, everything that is needed to create a complete show.
- AuditionsAuditions for specific parts will be held at the first rehearsal.
- CastingDirector casts the parts within a week of the auditions.
- RehearseMajor productions will typically rehearse once a twice a week for several months.
- Set BuildThe weekend prior to the show's opening, parents and older students will come together to build the set.
- Tech-WeekEach production has a technical rehearsal on Monday - Thursday prior to opening night. This includes dress rehearsal, lighting, etc.
- PerformMost productions will include 8 performances across two weekends. Shows usually open on Friday evenings and have both afternoon and evening performances on Saturdays and an afternoon performance on Sundays.
Many of our major productions are geared towards students in grade 5 and up. However, we do offer major productions for younger students as well as teenage-only productions. Most roles are double-cast to accomodate school and family schedules.
Many friendships are formed in major productions - both between students and parents. Don't say we didn't warn you - participating in major productions can be addictive. Once most kids begin, they want to keep performing in show after show.
