Take A Fun Class!
Plano Children’s Theatre offers production classes (a great introduction to theatre for elementary-aged students) and skill classes (group classes to improve special skills like acting and voice) for all grade levels. No previous experience is required to enroll in a class. For information about tuition, see Class Policies.
Parents love these classes because of the personalized attention every child receives and because it allows time to practice before jumping into a major production. All classes have 12-week sessions and many include an end-of session performance for family and friends. Separate classes are typically held for grades K-2 and grades 3-5. In most cases, class size is limited to 15 students.
Each child in the class will be given a script and assigned a part to learn and act out in the final production. Children memorize lines at home so that class time may be used for blocking, choreography and other aspects of staging the show.

Parents who are more than five minutes late to pick up their children at the end of rehearsal will be assessed a $1 per minute fee. All late charges must be paid prior to participating in end-of-class performances.
Students in Production Classes will be given a schedule for memorization of lines. Students learn lines at home with parents.
Please do not bring valuables to PCT. PCT is not liable for lost or stolen items.
Appropriate behavior is expected of all students. Bullying of any kind is not tolerated and is grounds for removal from the class. Tuition will not be refunded.
Appropriate dress is required of all students. No flip flops, bare midriffs, bare feet, or overly tight clothes. Students should wear tennis, jazz, ballet, or character shoes.
Performances
Some classes will culminate in a performance for the students' family and friends. The class description for each class will specify whether there is an end-of-session performance or not.
If costumes are required for a performance, students will provide most of their own costumes. Goodwill, Salvation Army, and other thrift stores are good sources for costumes. In some cases, PCT will loan specialty costumes to students.
