Sporting Great Character
Parents often place their kids in organized sports for camaraderie, teamwork and to instill strong character. While you might never have thought of it this way, theatre is every bit as much about teamwork and strength of character as baseball, soccer or football.
Here are just a few of the character traits your child will catch while participating in the Plano Children’s Theatre:
- Responsibility – to learn lines, show up on time and practice skills
- Problem Solving – overcoming obstacles and discovering new ways to communicate
- Team Work – if everyone doesn’t do their part (big or small) the production suffers
- Follow Through – importance of doing what they say they’ll do
- Respect – for teachers, fellow actors and different cultures
- Sociability – getting along with others and building long-term friendships
- Confidence – in their acting skills and in who they are
