Mulan

After the Huns invade China, the emperor requires every family to have at least one male member serve in the army. Fa Zhou, having no son to fight, is forced to enlist despite his age and disability. His daughter Mulan is kind and tender, but not the most graceful of girls and often winds up making a mess of matters. After a mishap with a local matchmaker, Mulan poses as a man and flees to join the army in her father’s place. Mulan learns to fight and works hard to bring honor to her country, her family and herself. Action abounds for every member of the audience… boys and girls alike.
