Darius-Anthony Robinson - Director of Dance Education
Darius-Anthony Robinson is excited to be joining Plano Children's Theatre! A singer by birth, Mr. Robinson began perform- ing professionally at the age of 7 and hasn't looked back!
Mr. Robinson is extensively trained in Dance and Vocal Performance, and studies Classical and Jazz voice technique at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. After attending Southern Methodist University for Dance Education in Dallas, TX, Mr. Robinson moved to New York City where he served as a principle and ensemble dancer with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Steps On Broadway and various dance troupes around the country . He also served as a guest performer for the well known Dance Explosion and Dance for the Planet here in Texas.
In addition to his many appearances on the stage, Mr. Robinson can be seen as the "Fabulousness Expert" on the WFAA-8 morning show Good Morning Texas. Some of his cho- reography credits include: Once Upon A Mattress (Runway Theatre), I Love A Piano (Artisan Center Theater), Urinetown: The Musical (Reparatory Company Theater), Broadway Revisited: A Broadway Revue (Malverone Players off –Broadway Theatre). Darius-Anthony can currently be seen in the World Premiere musical, The Great White Way creating the role of Tinker Bell at WaterTower Theater in Addison.
